What Gear does my child need and what is league provided?
CPL provides each player with a jersey for the season of play and each Team will be provided with helmets, balls, bats, and catchers gear to be shared by players.
Each player should be ready for season with the following:
- Black Softball Pants and/or Black Shorts (for hot nights)
- Softball Glove (for ball size reference T-Ballers use 10” ball, Farms use 11” ball, and Minors use 12” ball) Glove should fit your child’s hand comfortably. Gloves are typically marked on the inside with associated sizes- Example: 11” glove or larger for a player in Farms using an 11” ball.
- Softball Cleats (Rubber only- no metal cleats allowed)
- For Farms and Minors Divisions All infield players will be required to wear a face mask- these can be found on Amazon or most sporting good store. An example: Rip-It Infield Mask
Extras: If you want to supply your player with their own Bat, Helmet, and or additional gear please be sure to note the following:
Bats: ASA/USA Approved Bats: If a player is providing their own bat for the season, they must not be listed on the ASA Banned bats list and must have one of the following stamps/certifications listed on the bat itself:

Helmets: If a player is providing their own helmet for the season it must have the NOCSAE stamp on it and include a face cage and chinstrap.
Visors: While not required or necessary, Visors can help girls during the sunset games in keeping the sun out of their eyes. Sunglasses may also be worn on field. All about your child’s preference.
